The Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression is the main institution dealing with the matters of Veterans of struggles for independence and Victims of Oppression in Poland. The Office's functions and resposibilities have been defined in legal acts establishing the special status of beneficiaries of the Veterans' law. It's main tasks consist of:

  • awarding the status of Veteran struggles for independence, Victim of Oppression and person deported to perform forced labor
  • providing the Veterans and Victims of Oppression with help, special care and proper respect
  • spreading the tradition of struggles for independence of Poland

28th General Assembly of the World Veterans Federation

 

The 28th General Assembly of the World Veterans Federation will be held in Sopot, Poland, at the invitation of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression and WVF member associations in Poland.

All meetings will be held at the Sheraton Sopot Hotel.

Participants are expected to arrive on 30th August and depart on 5th September.

The Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression will provide transportation for participants of 28th General Assembly - both during arrival and departure:

  • during arrival days, 29th and 30th of August, the information point for our incoming guests will be placed in the arrival hall of the Gdańsk Airport;
  • during assembly days we will provide transportation for participants residing in distant hotels (they will be brought to Sheraton Sopot Hotel before opening of the sessions and than after closure driven back to their hotels - detailed schedule will be available at later date);
  • we will provide transportation for partakers of accompanying events (indicated in the agenda);
  • unfortunately we do not provide transportation or transfers for events not stated in the agenda - those willing to realize their private agenda have to do it individually at their own expenses;
